WHY CANADA? WHY CLLC?

Canada is a safe, peaceful, welcoming, and multicultural country with a very high quality of education. The United Nations consistently ranks Canada as one of the best places in the world to live. The quality of education and living standards in Canada are very high. The cost of living and tuition fees for international students are generally lower than in other countries, such as the United States or the United Kingdom. As an international student in Canada, you will enjoy all of the same freedoms as Canadians – respect for human rights, equality, and a stable and peaceful society.

Our culture and our attention to individuals is our focus. Our team is friendly, genuine, educated, and creative. We are dedicated to ensuring our students have the best experience in Canada and at CLLC. Students and agents continuously tell us our culture is very unique, and it is the main thing that differentiates us from other schools. We hope you have the chance to experience it!

CLLC won several awards. Please see the most updated awards list in the homepage. CLLC is proud to be the only school in the world that created an award, the CPIEAs (www.cpiea.com), to help shape the international education industry

LOCATIONS

CLLC has campuses in three Canadian cities (Halifax, Ottawa & Toronto). Each CLLC city is unique and offers amazing educational opportunities, so your choice really depends on what kind of experience you would like to have.

Halifax is a small and friendly city. Halifax has five universities and many colleges, so it is a student-friendly city with excellent academic opportunities. Students typically learn English more quickly here because there are smaller groups of international students and immigrants in Halifax than other cities. This is a true English immersion experience!

Ottawa is a medium sized city. This beautiful city is the capital of Canada so it is very professional, educated, and active. It was ranked ‘the best city in Canada to live in, and it is a great choice for cultural events, festivals, and celebrations year round. There is always something fun and interesting to do in Ottawa. Toronto is a large vibrant city. Attending a language school in Toronto can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

Toronto is the most multicultural city in the world. You will see people from every corner of the world in every part of your day. What a great chance to meet friends, make connections, and share your own culture with people from all over the world!

CLLC’s Online Live Learning offers online live English classes. Students learn English from the comfort and safety of their own home - anywhere in the world! Students interact with their teachers, classmates, and the administrative staff on a user-friendly platform that can be accessed on computers, laptops, and tablets.

Yes! All four of CLLC’s campuses (Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, and Online Live Learning) have the same quality, standards, and programs. You can start at one campus and finish at another. Besides what every campus and city have to offer on their own, CLLC’s students could explore all three cities during their experience without having to pay second application fees, homestay fees, or textbook fees, and not even missing a single lesson in the transition. CLLC’s curriculum is the perfect match for the student who wants to explore all three of CLLC’s home cities and we invite you to inquire now. You can even start online from your home country and continue when you arrive in Canada.

We have campuses in Halifax, Ottawa, and Toronto. In addition to classrooms, each campus has a student lounge with computers and internet, fridges to store your lunch, a water cooler, microwaves, and a relaxing area to study or spend time with friends. PAL FAQs

Yes, CLLC is currently accepting applications from students of all English proficiency levels and backgrounds for our English language study programs.

A Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) is an official document issued by a province confirming a student's acceptance into a designated learning institution. It is required for international students' study permit applications for programs longer than 24 weeks.

To be eligible for a PAL, you must be enrolled in a study program at CLLC lasting longer than 24 weeks.

To receive a PAL, you must make a payment of CAD 500.

Here are the step-by-step instructions to obtain a PAL:
- Apply for a program with a duration exceeding 24 weeks at CLLC.
- Receive your Letter of Acceptance (LOA) and an invoice from CLLC.
- Make a payment of CAD 500, which will be applied as a tuition credit.
- CLLC will then issue your PAL, after which you can proceed to apply for your visa.

The PAL is valid for a limited time. It is recommended to apply for your visa immediately after obtaining your PAL to avoid expiration. Please note that the PAL expiration date may vary from one province to another. For the exact duration of the PAL's validity, please verify with your visa consultant or our team as the PAL process is tied to the study permit application for which it was issued.

- Plan a timeline for your study permit application:
- Start by considering the validation dates for both the Province Attestation Letter (PAL) and the study permit to ensure timely submission and validity.
- Determine the time needed to prepare all required documents for the study permit application.
- Consider the average processing time for the issuance of the study permit.
- Set the endpoint as the intended start date of your course.

After CLLC receives the non-refundable application fee and the CAD 500 payment, the student will be required to sign a consent form. Once the consent form is signed, CLLC will process the PAL application and issue the PAL within 3 to 5 business days. After receiving the PAL, the student can then proceed to apply for their study permit, which is a separate process handled by immigration authorities and may take additional time.

To receive your PAL, you must first pay a non-refundable application fee. In addition to this, an additional payment of CAD 500 is required to complete the process and have your PAL issued.

Yes, you can study at CLLC without a PAL if your intended study duration is less than 24 weeks, or if you are studying under a tourist visa.

If your study permit application is denied, you cannot reuse the same PAL for a subsequent application attempt. According to CLLC's refund policy, students are eligible for an 80% refund of the paid CAD 500. The remaining payment may be used as a credit toward the new application. Please note that CLLC reserves the right to decline the issuance of a new PAL following an initial denial.

You do not need a new PAL to extend your visa if you already have a study permit.

Receiving a PAL does not guarantee a Study Permit. The final approval for a Study Permit is determined by Immigration Canada based on their evaluation of your complete application.

Please refer to our refund policy in the Student Contract for information on refunds in the event you requested a refund which is updated to the following:
Refund Policy Before First Day at CLLC:
- Visa Refusal (Refusal letter must be provided) – 80% of tuition fees
- Any other reason (14 days or more) – 80% of tuition fees
- Any other reason (13 days or less) – 60% of tuition fees

- Visa Refusal (Refusal letter must be provided) – 80% of remaining tuition fees
- Up to 10% of current student invoice completed - 50% of remaining tuition fees
- 11% – 30% of current student invoice completed – 30% of remaining tuition fees
- 31% or more of current student invoice completed – No refund

You can contact CLLC campus directors for guidance, who may direct you to the IRCC website for information. Additionally, you can consult an immigration consultant for further assistance regarding the PAL process or study permit application.
